In a disturbing incident of road rage in Bengaluru, a 38-year-old businessman named Jayant Shekhar suffered a gruesome injury that led to a ₹2 lakh surgery after another motorist bit his finger during a heated altercation. The incident occurred on May 26, 2025, near the railway colony on Magadi Road, an area that was heavily waterlogged following heavy rains. According to Shekhar, he was driving his electric vehicle through the flooded road when water splashed onto a nearby car. Although he immediately stopped and apologized for the unintentional act, the driver of the other vehicle lost his temper.

The enraged man followed Shekhar’s car, blocked his way, and forcefully pulled him out. What followed was shocking—he punched Shekhar in the face and bit his right ring finger so severely that it caused major tissue damage. Shekhar was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was told that surgical intervention would be necessary, costing around ₹2 lakh. In addition to the physical assault, Shekhar reported being verbally abused and threatened. A woman who was with the attacker also reportedly participated in the intimidation.
