Mumbai Indians (MI) have stormed into Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025 after a thrilling 20-run victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator held at Mullanpur on May 30. Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock, smashing 81 off 50 balls, while Jonny Bairstow added a crucial 47 to push MI’s total to a commanding 228/5. Gujarat Titans, despite a strong chase led by Sai Sudharsan’s 80 and Washington Sundar’s 48, could only manage 208/6 in their 20 overs.

With this win, MI are now set to clash with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2 on June 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match is a virtual semi-final, with the winner advancing to the grand finale to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who sealed their place after beating PBKS in Qualifier 1.
