A tragic incident has come to light from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, involving the untimely death of 23-year-old Amreen Jahan, just four months after her marriage. Before her passing, Amreen recorded a video on her phone, in which she accused her husband, Junaid Khan, and his family of ongoing mental and physical harassment.

In the video, she described being denied basic necessities like food and electricity, and emotionally tormented—particularly following a miscarriage. Amreen alleged that her husband once said to her, “Why don’t you die?” At the time, he was working in Bengaluru, while she remained at their family home in Moradabad.

On the day of the incident, Amreen reportedly called her father, Salim Ahmed, pleading for help. Tragically, by the time he reached her, she had passed away. Authorities have recovered the video message and sent her body for post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered for abetment to her death, based on her father’s complaint.

This deeply distressing case highlights the urgent need to address domestic abuse and provide stronger support systems for vulnerable individuals. For ongoing updates and stories like this, follow us on our social media:
