Haryana-based model Sheetal Chaudhary, popularly known as Simmi, was found brutally murdered in the Reliance Canal near Kharkhoda in Sonipat, sending shockwaves across the state. The 22-year-old’s body bore at least eight stab wounds to her chest, neck, and arms, pointing to a violent and deliberate act. The discovery of her body marked the beginning of an intense investigation that revealed deeply troubling details. Initially thought to be an accident, the case soon took a darker turn as police began to connect the dots through CCTV footage and witness accounts.

The footage showed Sheetal with her boyfriend just hours before her murder, contradicting his early claim that her death was accidental. Under sustained interrogation, he confessed to the crime, revealing that he had tried to mislead investigators by staging the murder scene to look like an unfortunate mishap. According to reports, Sheetal had made a video call before her death in which she appeared anxious and visibly distressed, possibly signaling her fear or discomfort about the situation she was in. Her body was later identified through tattoos, as it had already started decomposing when discovered.
