In a disturbing case that has shocked residents of South Delhi and beyond, a man was brutally murdered by his wife and her lover in a carefully premeditated act driven by property greed. The victim, 56-year-old Ravinder Kumar, a resident of Rajokri in South Delhi, was lured by his wife Reena Sindhu and her alleged lover Paritosh to Uttarakhand under the false pretext of a party invitation. Once they had isolated him in the hilly region, the duo carried out their chilling plan — striking Ravinder with a spade, killing him on the spot, and then dumping his body in the remote terrain of the hills to avoid immediate detection.

The crime took place on June 5, but it only came to light after Ravinder’s sudden disappearance raised suspicion among his relatives and friends. A missing person’s complaint led to an extensive investigation by Delhi Police, which soon pointed toward foul play. Tracing call records, surveillance footage, and inconsistencies in Reena’s statements, the police zeroed in on her and Paritosh. Following interrogation, both confessed to the crime.
The motive, police say, was shockingly clear — the couple aimed to gain control of Ravinder’s properties, which were reportedly substantial. By eliminating him, Reena and Paritosh intended to inherit or seize ownership of the assets, thinking they could cover up the murder as a disappearance or accident. However, the rapid progress of the investigation, aided by digital footprints, led to their swift arrest.
